I just finished this necklace made of upcycled plastic bottles. I cut some random triangles in the bottle, burnt the edges with a lighter to smoothen them and added some graphic lines with permanent white marker. I made a pair of matching earrings as well :)

Finally finished it ! Now it just seems to me that the final result doesn’t worth the time spent on the whole process but well, at least it’s a great personal achievement.

Sewing everything on a shirt, it’s taking longer than I thought but well I’m having fun. Funny fact that each flower has a particular scent since most of them are made of used clothing, washed of course, but even, I feel like each one of them tells a particular story. I used all the 71 flowers that I had, now I need to make some more to cover the rest, phew!

This is what I’ve made so far, phew.

Making many fabric flowers with old pieces of clothing. Following this great (and quite funny) tutorial :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sslb5TVVIJk
I have about 30 for now, I’m planning to cover a whole shirt or dress with them, let’s see how it goes, I’ll post other pics as soon as I can.

Bleached it for about 1-2 hours, and I must say I’m more than happy with the result, I love how the inside thread kept its original blue color !
